What is Property, Plant & Equipment?

Property, plant & equipment (PP&E) refers to a company’s long-term physical assets used in its operations to produce goods or provide services. These assets are not intended for resale and are expected to provide economic benefits over many years. PP&E is recorded on the balance sheet at cost and gradually reduced by depreciation.
