Market Indices

Market indices track the performance of a group of selected stocks in a particular market or sector. For example, the S&P 500 includes 500 large U.S. companies, while the FTSE 100 tracks the top 100 companies on the London Stock Exchange. These indices give you a big-picture view of how different parts of the stock market are performing.
