How to create a watchlist

A watchlist is a powerful tool that helps you stay on top of the stocks you're most interested in. With the Musaffa app, you can create multiple custom watchlists, track Shariah compliance changes, monitor price movements, and organize your halal investment journey — all in one place.

Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide to help you create and manage your watchlist on the Musaffa mobile app:

Option 1: Add a stock to a watchlist from the stock page.

If you're exploring a stock and want to save it right away:

  1. Go to the stock page

    • Open the Musaffa app and tap on any stock you’re interested in.

  2. Tap the Watchlist icon

    • In the top-right corner of the stock page, you’ll see a watchlist icon . Tap it.

  3. Create or choose a watchlist

    • You can either:

      • Create a new watchlist by entering a name

      • Or add the stock to an existing watchlist

That’s it — the stock will be saved under your selected watchlist collection.

Option 2: Create a watchlist from the Watchlist section

If you want to organize your watchlists or build a collection from scratch:

  1. Go to the Watchlist section.

    • From the app’s bottom navigation menu, tap “Watchlist”.

  2. Tap “Create”.

    • Tap the Create button to start a new watchlist.

  3. Name your watchlist.

    • Enter a name for your watchlist (e.g., "Tech Stocks", "Halal Growth Picks").

  4. Add stocks to your watchlist.

    • After creating the list, you can search for stocks and add them directly from the Watchlist section.

How to remove a stock from your watchlist

If you want to stop tracking a stock, you can remove it from your watchlist with a simple swipe gesture:

  1. Go to the Watchlist section.

    • Tap “Watchlist” from the bottom menu of the app.

  2. Open the relevant watchlist.

    • Select the watchlist that contains the stock you want to remove.

  3. Find the stock and swipe left.

    • Press and hold your finger on the stock, then slide it to the left.

    • A delete option will appear.

  4. Tap the delete icon.

    • Tap the icon to remove the stock from your watchlist.

That’s it — the stock will be removed from that specific collection.
